Paris Wine Company dinner at YARD Restaurant
We’re kicking off the Paris Wine Weekend with a Paris Wine Co. dinner on Friday night at Yard Restaurant. Jane Drotter’s restaurant turned a former construction yard near Père Lachaise into a chic Parisian bistro that is a favorite of wine insiders and locals alike. We’ll pair each course with wines direct from the private cellars of our favorite producers in the Paris Wine Company portfolio, including Château Yvonne, Ruppert Leroy, Vincent Dancer, and more.
Saturday, October 8th, 2016, 12:30 p.m.
"Unicorn" Wine Lunch at the Tour d'Argent
Founded in 16th century, the Tour d’Argent is not only one of the oldest restaurants in Paris, but it also has one of the most storied and vast wine cellars in France, if not in the world — and has for centuries! During the second world war, the owners built a fake wall to protect their best wines. They have vintages stretching back decades, and we’ve picked out 6 exceptional wines and vintages for our October lunch, which will be held in their private dining room. The chef at the Tour d'Argent will prepare a custom menu to be paired with these once-in-a-lifetime wines from Clos Rougeard, Domaine Roulot, Georges Mugneret, and more! In fact, some of the wines on our list are mentioned in the recent definition of Unicorn wines.
Sunday October 9th, 2016, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Paris Wine Co. Grand Portfolio Tasting at Verjus
Join us for a casual walk-around tasting of some of our favorite selections at the beautiful and airy dining room of Verjus Restaurant in the 1st arrondissement— a 5-minute walk from the Louvre. Wines will be available to order for U.S. delivery.
Sunday, October 9th - 7pm - 10pm

For the last several years, the variable and unpredictable weather conditions have affected vineyards all over France. Frost, hail, and drought used to be rare, but now are constant and more intense. In 2016, certain vineyards in the Beaujolais, Burgundy, Loire, and Languedoc confronted frost, hail, and drought. In PicSaint-Loup, Fleurie, Morgon, Chablis, Menetou-Salon (to cite a few examples), some of our winemaker friends lost 70% to 100% of their harvest, and saw a year of work ruined by a night of frost or 15 minutes of hail. To support them, and to allow them to continue to work their vines, to take care of their land, and to continue to make wine for us to enjoy, we have decided to join them in a campaign of solidarity.
Monday, October 10th, 2016, 9 a.m - 5 p.m.
Day Trip to Champagne
After all that wine tasting, head straight to the source! We’ll take a small bus to drive to Champagne Houses A.R. Lenoble and Champagne Etienne Calsac —some of our favorite We’ll have a chance to visit the vines, go through the cellars, and learn more about how Champagne is made .. and most of all, taste through the Champagnes! The day will include a lunch at A.R. Lenoble in their private dining space, and a visit with the winemakers.
